Custom Orthotics in Etobicoke
Proper support. Better movement. Less pain.
Your feet are the foundation of your entire body. When that foundation is off, the effects can be felt all the way up — through your ankles, knees, hips, and spine. At MHP Spine & Wellness Centre, we provide custom-made orthotics prescribed and fitted by our chiropractor to correct biomechanical imbalances and relieve pain at the source.
Investment
Custom orthotics at MHP Spine & Wellness Centre are $500 per pair, which includes your full biomechanical assessment, foot scan or cast, fabrication, fitting appointment, and follow-up.
Most extended health benefit plans cover a significant portion of this cost — typically $150 to $500 depending on your plan. Please note that many insurers require a prescription from your family physician with a condition listed to approve coverage. We recommend confirming your coverage and any pre-authorization requirements with your insurer before booking.
We provide all necessary clinical documentation for your insurance submission at the time of fitting.
What Are Custom Orthotics?
Custom orthotics are medical-grade shoe inserts individually designed and fabricated to match the exact contours of your feet. Unlike over-the-counter insoles purchased at a pharmacy or shoe store, custom orthotics are:
- Prescribed by a regulated healthcare provider following a full biomechanical assessment
- Cast or scanned specifically to your foot — not a generic mold
- Fabricated to address your unique condition, gait pattern, and footwear needs
- Covered under most extended health benefit plans
Types of Orthotics We Provide
Dress Orthotics Slim-profile inserts designed for dress shoes, loafers, and formal footwear without compromising style.
Sport Orthotics High-performance inserts designed for running shoes, cleats, skates, and athletic footwear. Engineered to support foot mechanics during high-impact activity.

Our Orthotics Assessment Process
Step 1 — Biomechanical Assessment Our chiropractor conducts a thorough assessment of your posture, gait, foot mechanics, and musculoskeletal alignment to determine whether custom orthotics are appropriate for your condition.
Step 2 — Foot Scan or Cast We take a precise measurement of your feet using a foam cast or digital scan to capture the exact shape and pressure distribution of your foot.
Step 3 — Prescription & Fabrication Your orthotics are custom fabricated based on your assessment findings and clinical prescription. Materials and design are chosen based on your activity level, footwear, and specific condition.
Step 4 — Fitting & Follow-Up Once your orthotics arrive, we fit them to your footwear and walk you through a break-in schedule. A follow-up appointment is included to ensure proper fit, comfort, and function.
